On Thursday 6 June, Monika Radclyffe, Centre Director at SETsquared Bristol, won ‘Innovation Champion’ at the inaugural Launch: Great West Awards.

We have been working with SETsquared Bristol since 2017, so have witnessed first-hand Monika’s dedication to supporting start ups and entrepreneurs in the region, and are thrilled that her work fostering innovative activity through business acceleration has been recognised.

Monika said:

“I am delighted to receive this award and would like to thank Launch: Great West team and the judges, for the recognition! These awards are a testament to Bristol’s burgeoning science and technology scene, and the supportive community that helps it to thrive. I’m very happy to be a part of it.”

Since 2016, Monika has supported over 130 companies across 37 tech and science sectors, helping them raise over £394 million in investment, and seeing the SETsquared Bristol incubator’s female founders increase by 350%.
The Launch: Great West Awards celebrate academic expertise and innovation excellence in the South West. Other winners included SETsquared Bristol alumni members, Ultrahaptics, who won the ‘Rocket Fuel’ award in recognition of their ambitious growth and market expansion, and Ziylo/Carbometrics, who were awarded ‘Deal of the Year’ for their acquisition, worth a potential $800 million.
